Aladdin bade her keep her cotton, for he would sell the lamp instead. As it was very dirty she began to rub it, that it might fetch a higher price. Instantly a hideous genie appeared, and asked what she would have. She fainted away, but Aladdin, snatching the lamp, said boldly: "Fetch me something to eat!" -- One Thousand And One Nights

Aladdin was such a dick.

He really was wasn't he ^^; had to read the original story not too long ago, was pretty surprised. Great painting anyway :D I really like it.

From the size of his gut, I gather that the genie didn't get a whole lot of exercise while cooped up in that lamp.

I like the color scheme. Aladdin is usually portrayed so brightly. It's a nice change. Good stuff. :clap:

It's got a good old school vibe. Almost reminds me of Maxfield Parrish for some reason.
