had to wear this around times square tonight on my way to the party at madame toussauds.  they rented out the whole place for dancing!  it was freaking cold but totally worth it ^_^

Yeah... kinda lame haha.  Designing him was a total bitch because my boss was crazy and nitpicked every anatomical nuance of a french bulldog.  After drawing literally hundreds of dogs I angrily scrawled this on the computer and she was like OMG I LOVE IT *facepalm* Then I had to draw him in like a bujillion poses and animate him.  blarg.

Also, say hello to Morgan Freeman, my new lil' baby turtle!

I bought him off the street in union square.  He's a little over an inch long lol.  Morgan Freeman's the replacement of our last pet, Christopher Walken, who sadly died last weekend because my roommate and I are lazy and never changed his water.  Drowning in your own poop... what a horrid way to die D:

Yeah, I know.  I've been gone for like, ever.

I got a job downtown in SoHo at an ad agency for a couple months.  I had a pretty fun time creating new campaigns for products like Clearasil, Gardasil, and Sunny D, and I got to meet lots of exciting people and go to lots of exciting places.  I was the only designer there, though, so I was entirely overworked and often felt like I was being taken advantage of, so I quit.  When the ads come out, I'll let you know which ones I did :]

My milk expired a couple of days ago and I really want cereal.  Maybe I'll go out to Rite Aid and buy some delicious lactic nourishment.  I find the concept of milk disgusting, though.  I mean, it's milk... from a cow.  I'd be a vegan, but being a vegetarian is hard enough.  Besides, what else would I pour on top of my honey bunches of oats?  They would fail to be a whole lotta yum, quite honestly.

Oh, Oh!  And I got new glasses, so I'll post pictures of those as soon as I shower.  Holy fuck, do I need a shower... It's like a hundred degrees in here and my shirt smells like fish.  And I haven't gone fishing...

A lot of you have been sending me notes, and I haven't had much time to answer.  I'm really really sorry!  I don't hate you, I promise.  That's why I'm putting my FAQ here, so you can know everything you need to know about me without legally being considered a stalker:

Q: WHERE DO YOU GO TO COLLEGE?  DO YOU LIKE IT?!
A: I go to SVA (School of Visual Arts) in Manhattan.  It's fantastic, but a little overpriced.

Q: I WANNA APPLY!  GOT ANY PORTFOLIO SUGGESTIONS?  DO YOU THINK I CAN GET IN?
A: Don't sweat it, pretty much everyone gets into SVA.  Try putting your best pieces into your portfolio, rather than focusing on variety and quantity.

Q: CAN I PUT ONE OF YOUR PIECES ON MY WEBSITE?
A: Sure, just don't forget to credit me!

Q: HOW DID YOU GET SO GOOD?
A: *Condescending giggle* Oh, sir, you flatter me!  Just be daring, and don't be afraid to try things that are totally out of your league.  You won't get anywhere by playing it safe!  Be patient and keep on working.

Q: WHAT PROGRAMS DO YOU USE? WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR TEXTURES?
A: I use Photoshop CS3 and Painter X with a Wacom Intuos 2 9x12 tablet.  I tend to work from start to finish on the computer because I'm fickle and change things a lot so the undo button is my most valuable tool.  I get my textures from imageafter.com, although I'm trying to use them less now because they're kinda corny.  If you're going to prominently feature a texture, though, it's more artsy and original to just take a macro photo of something yourself.
